Easiest German Pancake
Serves 4-6 • Time 25 mins
My mom used to make this german pancake on Christmas morning when we were kids. She could pop it into the oven, and by the time the family was finished opening stockings, breakfast was ready! German pancakes, also known as dutch babies, are an easy one-pan crowd pleaser. Unlike traditional pancakes, this breakfast beauty is cooked in the oven, leaving you free to socialize with your guests or chill with your coffee.
Serve this pillowy, buttery breakfast with some maple syrup and enjoy a relaxed and delicious morning.

Let’s Do It
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400.
Step 2
While oven preheats, thinly slice apple and set aside. Add eggs, milk, honey, flour, vanilla, and salt to blender. Blend until slightly frothy and well mixed.
Step 3
Place butter in a 9x13 baking pan and place pan into oven, watching carefully. When butter has melted, remove the pan from the oven and set aside.
Step 4
Pour batter into 9x13 baking pan with melted butter. Spread sliced apples across the top of your batter. Top off with a sprinkling of cinnamon and sugar. Bake mixture for 20 minutes, or until pancake is golden brown and pulls away from the edges of the pan.
Step 5
Cut pancake into hearty slices. Serve with warm maple syrup. Enjoy!
